Erstwhile governor of Anambra State, Christopher Ngige has said that he is on a second leg of a missionary journey to the Awka government house he lost a couple of years ago.
“I am on a second missionary journey to continue the implementation of my blueprint for developing Anambra State that was aborted in 2006... I implemented only 25% of it within few months in power. With this second coming, implementation of the remaining 75% of my blue print will turn Anambra State into an Eldorado,” Ngige said shortly after he was formally nominated by the Action Congress (AC) to run for governorship election. Prince Tonye Princewill who accompanied Dr. Ngige and others to INEC to submit nomination form assured him of the unflinching support of the Rivers and Balyelsa States AC chapters in his drive to salvage Anambra State. A statement by Princewill’s media coordinator, Eze Chukwuemeka Eze qouted him as saying: “I must confess that I am happy about the democratic method used by the AC machinery in producing credible candidates such as Ngige and Agbasi to take the state to the next level.” |
